Registration

Competitors are required to register for the competition prior to submitting their entries. In order to complete registration, competitors must submit a registration fee of RM200.00 per team.  This fee includes: 4 free entrances for the 2 day seminar with food and accommodation, dinner during final ceremony.

Registration will close at 5:00 pm CST (Central Standard Time) on October 31, 2011. Registrations sent by mail must have a postmark date no later than October 31, 2011.

Registration fees have to be paid by crossed check or bank draft payable to BENDAHARI UTM” and forwarded to the secretariat (address under contacts). All payments are final; no refunds will be made to registered teams who do not submit an entry. Upon completion of registration and payment, the team will receive a Confirmation by mail.

In order to ensure fair evaluation of all entries, only one entry per registration will be accepted. Competitors who wish to submit more than one entry must register separately by the registration deadline for each entry they intend to submit.

GreenTech House Competition staff will examine entries prior to jury review to determine whether each entry complies with the Competition Rules and Regulations and Submission Requirements. The GreenTech House Competition staff has the right to disqualify entries that do not meet the foregoing requirements. Disqualified entries will not be viewed by the jury and will not receive a refund.

Submittal date

All submissions must be received by the Competition Secretariat not later than 5.00pm on the submission date of entry . The Organizer and Sponsors will not be responsible for loss or damage to the entries. Participants are advised to retain copies of the design submitted.

 


Honoraria, Prizes and Awards


The organizer undertakes to accept the decision of the Jury, to pay the prizes and honoraria to successful groups & criteria in the manner as stated below:

1. To the group whose proposal is judged to the worthy as the Winner by the Jury, a prize of RM20,000.00

2. To the six groups whose proposals are judged to be worthy of Merit by the Jury, a Honorarium of RM1,000.00. These Honoraria depend on different criteria as stated below

 

  • Best Poster, Presentation and Video
  • Best or most creative adaptation to challenge provided
  • Best Sustainable design
  • Best use of innovative biorenewable materials
  • Best incorporation of users needs
  • Best Public Communication and website
