Brief Introduction

The 1st International Awards for Wellness 2012 (IWell 2012) is an initiative by the Institute of Bioproduct Development, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Research Alliance in Biotechnology, UTM and Vertical Impact Sdn. Bhd. to honour scientists, researchers, individuals, corporate sectors, companies and practically anyone who have made outstanding achievements/ contributions in the research, development and commercialization of wellness activities. This expected bi-annual event is targeted to be the most sought after venue and meeting point for those who are involved (be it directly or indirectly) in the wellness sector to showcase their latest products, create new business linkages, exchange ideas with other individuals with similar interest and to find potential investors for commercialization. A concurrent event for the younger generation is also included as one of the main events. The inclusion of the Young Wellness Exhibition 2012 (YouWE 2012) is targeted to stimulate young minds, with participants consisting of primary, secondary and college students.
